Hi everyone, I hope your summer was as enjoyable as
mine. It has been two months since the
last issue of this ezine, and I personally enjoyed the short break. This ezine continues our goal of sharing
hints and tips as to how to better use Solomon. Please pass it on to others who use Solomon
and can benefit from this free newsletter.
I have included, one article, which is really general marketing
related. I ran across a great tool for
making each of our business to business emails a mini marketing
piece. The product, the ewp ecard, is a
link (html code), which allows your business card to have hot links to multi
media files. Check out the site at www.weblite.net . The product is less than $10/month for an
ecard subscription, and it has the potential to drive new business
for your company; and pay for itself many times over. See our article called: EWP Ecards—A Marketing
Bonanza.
It is a sad reality that businesses are plagued by internet
viruses. The cost to those who have been
struck by one of these viruses or worms is tremendous. As business owners and users of computers,
we need to adopt a pro active plan to counter these
problems. We have created an article
which outlines the minimal each of
our companies should be doing.
Articles also we included for the special interest group of
our user base who can greatly benefit from electronic check printing on plain
paper using laser printers. Also we talk
about some recent consulting assignments where we helped Solomon
users transfer Orders out of Solomon to a format
used by their remote warehouses. A brief
tutorial was written for the Cash Manager module. We also highlighted a recent Solomon
customization which allows the default check boxes to be de activated when a
screen was opened. This customization
article challenges us to realize that Solomon
can be made to work “just a little” better when you stop and look for those simple
changes to your data entry screens.
Next week we are off to the annual conference for Microsoft
Business Solutions Division. This year,
the MBS partner channel and the Microsoft partner
channels are combining in the Momentum Conference in New
Orleans. I look
forward to sharing some of the exciting announcements which typically come out
of this great event.
