Exporting Orders to a Fulfillment House

Many of our customers are shifting away from running their own warehouses, to using the sub contractor’s warehouse or fulfillment center. We recently had a client who was in this situation. They needed to have all there new orders put into an excel spreadsheet in a specific fixed format.

Because all Solomon users have a copy of the Crystal report writer, we were able to resolve this problem quickly. We created a custom packing slip report, which just printed out the detail records required for the Excel spreadsheets. As a standard feature of Crystal, this report was first printed to screen, and then the file export capabilities of Solomon’s Crystal reports were utilized.

We modified the pull down screens on the report launcher screen to include this new crystal report.
