Welcome to our 14th edition of our Solomon ezine. This month our articles are centered on these areas: 1) how to correct problems which invariably happen in accounting systems, 2) looking ahead for changes coming for the software and 3) working smarter.
The first article deals with creating sanity checks for our FRx financial reports. We have a powerful financial reporting tool with FRx, but the tool is still susceptible for producing bad results. The common building blocks of rows, columns, and trees are completely separate from the General Ledger. This is actually a powerful benefit to the user, because the row up logic and reporting structure is independent of your basic chart of accounts, which we know if prone to loosing its basic roll up structure over time. But this independence is also a challenge, because you can add accounts and sub accounts into Solomon which may or may not be picked up by your financial reports. Learn some simple sanity tricks to catch these errors quickly and keep from getting egg on your face by issuing incorrect financial reports.
The second article deals with the challenge of mis applying cash payments in your Accounts Receivable system. Since errors are likely to happen, how can you quickly research and correct these errors? Learn more by checking this article out.
Coming in the next 90 days are new upgrades to several key portions of Solomon IV. Get a sneak preview of the types of enhancements you are going to see. Solomon, Frx, Business Portal are all reviewed at a top level.
Lastly I have included a short article on searching the tech knowledge database. If you can research the problems, you can lower your cost of support and in some cases, the data found in the tech knowledge database can lead to fixing your problem. Why not learn how to use this valuable tool more effectively.
Successful solutions are what our company and this newsletter is all about.
