Welcome to our combined May/June 2004 ezine issue.  Our focus is to provide hints, tips, and tricks for better use of Solomon IV.  We are big believer in the inherent flexibility of Solomon to solve accounting challenges of today and also challenges of tomorrow.  Please forward this ezine to others who can benefit from some of our great ideas.

We have compiled a pdf index of our 60 plus articles.  Please email me at jcozens@systematicsol.com to get your free copy of this index.  This can be a value tool to zero in on old hints and tips by specific subject area.

This month we focused on these topics:

1)    Cleaning up Vendor documents which total to zero

2)    Using the Adjustment Debit transaction in AP more effectively

3)    Launching new reports using Report Control Maintenance

4)    Training Opportunities via the web and Systematic Solutions

It time to start planning for support to be stopped for version 5.0 of Solomon IV.  The official end for technical support is September 30, 2004 for version 5.0 and August 31, 2006 for version 5.5.  We encourage all users to stay on version 5.5 of Solomon or higher.  Speaking of new versions of Solomon, it looks like we will be seeing version 6.0 in mid July.  My understanding is that the new version is going through final security audits at Redmond, so that the new code meets the corporate standards for code security.  This is a major release for Solomon with many changes to the standard look and feel of the product.
